Ankole Private Sector Promotion Centre Ltd ( APROCEL ) in partnership with Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is implementing a Sustainable Outcomes for Children and Youth (SOCY) project for the next three years. APROCEL desires to recruit skilled, committed, self-driven and result oriented individuals to till the following available vacancy.
Job Title: 2 SILC Supervisors-SOCY
Duty Station: Bushenyi and Ntungamo
Reports to: Project Manager
Directly supervises: Field Agents.
Age limit 23-35
Job Summary:
The SILC Supervisor will be responsible tor conducting post-training supervision and mentoring of the Field agents to ensure proper mentorship of the SILC groups by the Field Agents. The incumbent will identity ways to improve performance and management of groups by the Field Agents. He/she will work under the direct supervision of the Project Manager (or designate), especially in areas of planning and coordination of field activities and reporting. He/she will ensure that the SILC Field Agents (FAs) meet their targets, attend group meetings as and when they are required, collect data from the field and submit the same without delay.
Specific Duties:
- Train and supervise maximum 6 Field Agents
- Conduct refresher trainings for field agents
- Responsible for data collection
- Provide oversight to SILC implementation and quality control.
- Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned by the supervisor
- Minimum qualification: at least a Diploma in social work and Social Administration, Development studies, Social Sciences, business related courses, gender studies from a reputable institution.
- Experience: at least three years’ experience working with saving groups like VSLA, SILC, saving for change projects. Somebody from gender main streaming and women empowerment background is greatly desired.
- Frequent travels to the field
- A valid riding permit is a must
