Job details:
The Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Kampala is inviting applications for a vacancy in the field of Press and Culture from the 25thof November 2017.
The tasks involved in this half time (20 hours per week) position include:
Support of the public relations officer especially in
  • evaluation of press, broadcast. social media and TV publications in the host country
  • maintain relations to press, broadcast and TV companies
  • production and publication of press releases
  • organization of press events and appointments for interview
  • production of materials tor public relations
  • processing of the visitors programs of the federal government
  • editorial supervision and care of the Homepage of the Embassy
  • cooperation with the German intermediary organizations and multipliers
  •  respond to general press inquiries
Support of the cultural relations officer especially in
  • cooperation with cultural projects
  • inquiries in the field of culture and education
  • realization of projects in the field of “Small Cultural Fund“
  • cooperation with German intermediary organizations
  •  correspondence with multipliers in the host country
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • university education or a comparable tertiary education
  • completed professional training
  • very good knowledge of the English language as well of Luganda
  •  language in word and writing
  • team ability and flexibility
  • stress resistance.
  • IT knowledge, control of the current software uses
  •  valid work permit and residence permit for Uganda
  • German linguistic proficiency is positively valued
