MWH is an impact investor that uses its means and talents to improve live ability in the world. Among other activities MWH runs retail chain of agro-support centres in Uganda. We run our activities in a business manner and we aim at agricultural and economic development of the region. Commercial farmers and smallholders are provided with opportunities that enable them to improve their farm business and livelihood respectively.
Agro Promotion Officer reports to the Manager Agro Development.
Key responsibilities:
- Professionally run an agro-input shop
- Provide advice to farmers on the use of agro-inputs
- Support farmers in transforming their agricultural practice into commercial farming
- Manage cash, stock and relations (using QuickBooks software)
- Passion for selling and sewing customers
- Knowledgeable in crop and/or animal production
- Honest and hardworking, ready to go the extra mile
- Eager to learn and develop knowledge and capacities
- Good computer skills (Microsoft office)
- Good team player
- Able to speak Luo , Runyoro and /or Luganda
The minimum qualification is a diploma in crop production or animal husbandry with two years’ experience in agricultural extension. Ability to ride and possession of riding license is an added advantage.
