Post: Cost Accountant
Reports to the GM-Finance
Duty station: Namanve
Prime responsibilities of the position:
- Analyze factory overhead cost drivers and develop a methodology for allocating these costs to specific lines.
- Determine product cost
- Reconcile all raw materials to finished goods
- Monitor actual versus absorbed factory overheads on a monthly basis.
- Create and distribute detailed monthly product cost reports to project managers which include actual and estimated product costs.
- Perform month end close activities related to Cost Accounting
- Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting product costs.
- Classify costs accurately
- Any other duties assigned
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce or Business Administration with a focus in accounting or finance
- Professional qualification in Accountancy/ Auditing i.e. ACCA, CPA etc.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Minimum 3 years related experience.
