BACKGROUND;
Kabwohe Clinical Research Center ( KCRC ) is a Private Not-For Profit (PNFP) health facility located in Sheema Municipality along Kabwohe - lshaka road. KCRC was established in 2005 with a Mission: Providing High Quality and Accessible Medical Care to the rural often hard-to-reach populations of Western Uganda.
Vision: To develop into a center of excellence in HIV care and Research.
Motto: Research for better health and development. KCRC has conducted ground breaking research in collaboration with its partners. Notable past and present research include; META study, PrEP Demo study, PrEP study, Adherence study, Fertility intention study and Daktari Study. More studies are in a pipeline. Recently KCRC received a grant under the USAID/ EGPAFI RHITES SW Project for HIV Care, Prevention &Treatment, Malaria/ TB diagnosis, Prevention & Treatment as well as FP & MNCAH in the Districts of Sheema , Buhweju & surrounding areas. KCRC henceforth seeks to recruit on contract terms highly motivated, self-committed, results oriented & flexible candidates for the post below:
Position: Medical Officer
Reporting to; Medical Director
Key Tasks: The Medical Officer will ensure delivery of quality HIV/AIDS care & treatment services to clients. In addition, he/she will support health system strengthening interventions by building capacity of health care workers in comprehensive HIVIAIDS management. He/she will deputize the Medical Director & perform any other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree in Medicine and Surgery from a reputable University.
- Full and active registration with the UMDPC
- Additional training in HIV/AIDS care will be an added advantage.
- At least 6 months of service in a busy clinical setting.
- Should have Counselling, Teamwork, Management, Interpersonal and good Communication skills (both oral & written).
