JOB DETAILS:
We are in search of a suitable candidate to fill the above position. The Production Manager will oversee all daily operations of the plant from production and manufacturing to ensuring policies and procedures are followed. He will develop processes that will maximize leadership and supervision, safety, quality and productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
The candidate should have strong planning skills, strong interpersonal and cross-cultural skills, people management skills, report writing, excellent organizational and leadership skills, deep knowledge of production management, excellent communication, an understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations, strong decision-making skills, be result-oriented and bear excellent computer skills with high proficiency in ERP software.

- Minimum: BSO Food Technology
- Any Additional qualifications in Management
- At least 5 years manufacturing experience in beverages preferably in a PET bottling Industry

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to implement systems and procedures to ensure manufacturing operations meet the production plans, schedules, targets, product quality and cost standards
- Develop the departmental operating goals and budget for approval and should be able to keep expenditures within approved budget.
- Should work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure that the appropriate standard operating procedures are developed and maintained for the plant. Adherence to QMS, HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices is key.
- Should work closely with the Maintenance In charge to ensure optimal operation of factory machinery and equipment for smooth production processes. This includes reviewing maintenance plans and approving their implementation in a way that there is minimal interference with the operations.
- Ability to analyze line performance, efficacy, labour performance and down-time and be in position to evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive and corrective action plans.
- Coordination with the Sales and Marketing Department to facilitate production and operations based on the market demand with regards to the desired quality and quantities.
- Should maintain proper starting levels, continuously improve employee productivity through performance evaluation and training, instill and maintain discipline of workers.
- Enforce the health and safety precautions and monitor the working conditions to ensure a continued provision of a safe and healthy working environment in the factory.
- Maintain all the necessary records to ensure effective monitoring of the manufacturing process in the factory.

- At least 5 years hands on experience in a PET Bottle juice manufacturing plant

- solving skills, team work, people management skills, technical report writing and excellent communication, an understanding of health and safety regulations, strong decision-making skills, result-oriented and excellent computer skills.
- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
- Planning and undenaking scheduled and breakdown maintenance of the plant machinew and equipment.
- Planning equipment upgrades and machinery modification
- Responding immediately to breakdowns, fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed
- Assists the production manager to prepare the plant maintenance budget.
- Assists the production manager to plan for Installation of new machinery.
- Prepares indent and requisition for maintenance requirements for approval.
- Liaises with store in charge to ensure availability of spares and parts.
- Sources for spares required for plant maintenance but not available in stores
- Carries out quality inspections for machinery periodically
- Assigns duties and tasks to and supen/ises maintenance staff.
- Coordinates all plant maintenance activities.
- Supervises plant installation and maintenance work.
- Maintains proper documentation of maintenance activities
- Compiles regular maintenance reports for management.
