JOB DETAILS:
Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa, Eastern Europe and North America
Role Position: Community Recruiter
(01 position, Kampala)
Reporting to the Community Educator, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the implementation of guidelines for HPTN 084 protocol recruitment.
Overall responsibilities: Prepare and implement approved recruitment work plans and monitor the integration of recruitment activities into the community engagement plans, Administer biometric system for potential participants and participate on the community education team, Periodically evaluate the functionality of study tracking system, Support the assistant community educator to monitor the implementation of community mobilization} demand creation strategies ,Provide technical support in the identification, documentation and follow up of identified potentials participants in the community , Liaise with the community educator to provide technical support in promoting availability and usage of study data tools then monitor reporting , Capacity Building, Participate in the development and implementation of linkage and referral system between the community and Baylor-Uganda CRS as well as to other CBO for recruitment and care, Oversee the follow-up, locator information and tracing of study participants, Establish regular communications ,Contact or visit study participants, Develop appropriate plans with families where possible to identify, restore and resolve underlying issues causing missed visits, Completes CRFs and source documents.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
- A Degree in a community related Degree preferably with evidence of comprehensive HIV training or a Degree in Nursing /Public Health or a Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Community Health
- The candidate must have at least one (1) year of working experience in HIV prevention for Research Programs with Donor funded organisations
- Must be registered with the relevant professional body
- Two (2) years‘ experience in a research institution is a added advantage
