Adara Development is committed to improving Maternal Newborn Child Health (MNCH) services in Uganda, by supporting holistic programmes that ensure women and children have access to services across the continuum of care. The organization seeks to recruit a Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer in Uganda. Applications are therefore invited from competent and qualified Ugandans as indicated below:
Location; Kiwoko Hospital, Nakaseke District
Employment status; An ongoing contract (full time)
Reporting to: Sydney-based Monitoring and Evaluation Manager (for Research, Monitoring and Evaluation activities) and Uganda Country Director (for administration and logistics)
Direct reports to this position holder: Contracted Research Assistants/ Data collectors and RME volunteers in Uganda.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The major responsibilities for the RMEO Uganda are:
  • To assist in the development of programme Theories of Change (ToC), Project Management Plans. (PMPs) and RME frameworks and to lead the implementation of Adara RME activities in Uganda.
  • To conduct data collection, data management, analysis and reporting for RME.
  •  To provide training and support to Adara staff and Uganda program partners (NGOs, Hospitals and community) on RME and the data required for RME.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • A bachelor degree or a higher degree in Public Health, Community Development or related field.
  • Demonstrated ability and minimum of 3 years’ experience in Public Health, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Community Development or Humanitarian Response Programmes in remote areas.
  • Sound education and training in monitoring and evaluation and demonstrated ability in developing and implementing M&E frameworks and systems (Logical Framework Analysis, Theory of Change and other M&E frameworks) in Public Health, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Community Development or Humanitarian Response Programme contexts.
  • Ability to drive a motorcycle or ride a bicycle.
