LWF-Uganda also has a successful track record responding to refugees in Uganda. it currently supports Congolese and South-Sudanese refugees living in settlements in the districts of Kamwenge, Adjumani, Moyo and Lamwo respectively with access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene services, community services, protection, psychosocial support, livelihoods and environmental conservation.
The LWF Uganda is looking for a mature, qualified and experienced persons for the following position:
Job Title: Driver
Place of Assignment: Kyangwali Settlement
Contract: 12 Months with the possibility of Extension
Reports to: Administrative Assistant
Duties and responsibilities: visit our: Website: Uganda.lutheranworld.org
Required qualifications, skills and experience:
- Holds a current, valid Uganda driver's license and is trained in defensive driving
- Possess a clean and safe driving record, capable of driving Land cruisers
- A minimum of two or more years’ experience driving on all types of roads and various road conditions found in Uganda (i.e. in towns, on highways, on marram roads, through Kampala, in wet and dry seasons, etc.)
- The applicant must also hold an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education.
- Preferred past experience working with a humanitarian or not-for profit organization.
- Past mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Fluency in English required.
- Must be willing to work in Kyangwali
