CARE International in Uganda seeks to recruit highly motivated and qualified development professionals with genuine commitment to roll out and implement the Women and Youth empowerment program (WAY) in partnership with UNFPA to fill up the following position of:
Position: Youth Savings and Loan Association (YSLA) and Girls Economic empowerment Specialist

JOB SUMMARY
The YSLA and Girls Economic empowerment Specialist will be a dynamic team player with strong technical skills in youth entrepreneurship and economic empowerment. He/ She will be responsible for leading the strategic development, and successful delivery of the Youth empowerment processes in the WAY program in the eight districts of West Nile and Northern Uganda namely; Moyo, Adjumani, Arua, Agago, Amuru, Aleptong, Pader, Kitgum and Lamwo. He/ She will be familiar with the plight of girls and the inherent social nomts and traditions that tend to marginalize them and lead them onto the path of marginalization very early in their lives. He/ She will be familiar with the development and humanitarian nexus and a passion for youth and girls’ economic empowerment, promoting gender equality and diversity, engaging men and boys and curbing gender based violence. He/she will have strong mobilisation, networking and relationship building skills and familiar with working in various partnership frameworks at local Government and national levels. The YSLA and girls economic empowerment specialist will provide technical oversight in all capacity development interventions, needs assessment, mentorship and support supervision of the girls.
