Reports to: Logistics Manager.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, test, and sample materials or assembled parts or products for defects and deviations from specifications.
- Boost charge batteries before Dispatch.
- Maintain records of testing, information and various metrics such as number of defective products per day etc.
- Establish reports on logistics movements and distribution in the organisation.
- Identify, mobilise resources, implement and report on special logistics operations.
- Ensure that accurate and complete internal control processes and procedures are followed and all relevant records are maintained.
- Ensure effective stock management and quality control.
- Manage the safety and security of a stock in the warehouse. This might include locking the warehouse, handling emergency situations, patrolling warehouse areas and preparing reports.
- Warehouse maintenance i.e. ensure the proper management of the warehouse.
Education: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering. Professional Courses like CIPS are an added advantage.
Work Experience: At least six months experience doing installations OR service.
Skills:
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Strong technical and mechanical Skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, customer service and communication skills.
- Team player with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Strong Computer skills especially Excel, Word and Power Point.
