BRAC UGANDA, Health-Program BRAC’s health program trains, supervises and manages 4,075 community Health Promoters (CHPs) focusing on provision of reproductive, maternal, neonatal & child health care (RM- NCH), reducing vulnerability to communicable diseases and improving nutrition.
Job Title : 2 Technical Specialist
Reports to : Area coordinator
Location: Bweyala
Core Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide support & guidance to the field teams on livelihoods value chain integration.
- Support development of training . materials for various assets selected by project beneficiaries.
- Provide core technical support on various implementation aspect of the programme
- Network with private & Government sectors on technical aspects of the project.
- Visiting target group youth to monitor their progress and link them to available market opportunities.
- Monitor and report on project activities and ensure compliance with plan and BRAC standards.
Qualification and skills:
- Minimum of a Diploma in Agriculture, animal production and management, veterinary or crop science.
- Minimum of 1 year working experience in agribusiness approaches with youth livelihood programs and poor communities
- Training and facilitation skills.
- Sufficient computer skills (MS office proficiency), Report writing and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently work with minimal supervision in a team setting
- Ability to speak the local language (Luganda, Luo or Swahili) will be an added advantage.
