JOB DETAILS:
AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.
AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.
AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:
Job Title : Fleet Officers
Location: Kampala and field settlements
Report to: Operations Manager Responsible For: Overseeing all fleet related issues.
Job Summary: Pro-actively lead and motivate a team of drivers and driver assistants to ensure excellent standards of maintenance to our fleet under the supervision of the operations manager.
Job Qualifications:
- A degree in Transport or Fleet Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
- At least tour years’ working experience in similar position. Additional Skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced computer skills in Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint Presentation, creating forms, org charts, mail merges, pivot tables, name tags, charts and graphs
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in any part of the country
- A University Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences or any other related degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant program related experience is required
- Excellent knowledge of project Management and support is required
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and other database Packages
