SHA‘s vision is an economically thriving and resilient rural Africa with a mission to support sustainable livelihoods for Uganda's smallholder farmers. SHA has been working in Uganda for close to 20 years. SHA urgently seeks to recruit suitable candidates to fill the following position:
Post: Senior Finance Accountant (Based in Kampala)
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and Administration, the Senior Finance Accountant is responsible for the preparation of monthly management accounts, project income and expenditure statements, reports to donors and any other ad hoc report as required. The Senior Finance Accountant plays, a key, role in the management of the relationships between Self Help Africa Uganda and the partner organisations we work with-by providing accounting support and conducting regular monitoring and internal audit visit.
Key areas of responsibilities include:
- Support the coordination, alignment and management of Self Help Africa Programme Finance
- Administration of best financial practices to create the highest level of efficiency possible within the Self Help Africa Country Office.
- Provide managerial and administrative leadership for the Procurement of goods and services for respective organizational stakeholders in accordance with procurement policies and guidelines, management of fleet of vehicles and SHA assets
