Chemonics seeks multiple technical specialists for the for the anticipated USAID Uganda Health Systems Strengthening activity (UHSS) based in Kampala, Uganda. The purpose of UHSS is to strengthen the health system through improving leadership and accountability for results in public and private health sectors at both national and local levels. The activity seeks to strengthen central level stewardship and district level management of the health system; support initiatives that increase domestic financing for health; identify and implement interventions that increase efficient use of key health resources; and strengthen state and none state community system for improved quality health services.
We are seeking technical specialists in the following areas;
- Public private partnerships
- Health governance
- Decentralization
- Capacity development
- Community mobilization
- institutional Strengthening
- Gender
- Advanced degree in relevant discipline
- 7 or more years of progressively responsible work experience, experience with USAID projects highly preferred
- Proven record of successful delivery of technical assistance
- Proven managerial and supervisory skills
- Experience working collaboratively with the Ugandan Ministry of Health, international donors, USAID, and local partners
- Fluency in English is required
