AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.
AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.
AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:
Job Title: Surveyors
Location: Kampala and Field settlements
Responsible For: Planning, coordinating and supervising comprehensive construction surveys to establish lines and grades within the construction sites
Job Summary:
Co-ordinating comprehensive Roads and other civil constructions surveys to establish lines and grades within the construction sites. Making exact measurements and determine property boundaries. Prepare or supervise preparation of a I data, charts, plots, maps, records, and documents related to surveys. Inspects to ensure that proper compliance with construction specifications is adhered to.
Job Qualifications:
- Civil Engineering with/or Diploma in Road/ infrastructure Surveying or Bachelors’ degree in Land Surveying and Geometries or any other relate qualification with emphasis in surveying.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the Roads & infrastructure field
- Works well under pressure and able to be up to the deadlines
- Experience in the use of computers and specialized software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and other database packages related to construction
