Position: Driver/Operations Assistant

COMPANY DESCRIPTION:
Tutapona is a leading provider of trauma rehabilitation services for refugees and communities affected by war/conflict in Africa. Due to the continued growth of our operations in Uganda, we are seeking qualified, intelligent professionals who desire to serve individuals fleeing war in a settlement environment.
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
To provide transportation and added program operational capacity for Tutapona field activities in designated locations for the provision of service delivery to communities affect by war and refugee settlements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, patience, as well as strong social and communication skills. Applicants should have training and experience in providing safe transport, basic vehicle maintenance, and program operation support.
This position requires commitment to, understanding of, and compliance with Tutapona’s Mission, Vision, and Faith position. Practice must be in accordance with professional international standards for conduct in the mental health setting.
DESIRED SKILLS INCLUDE:
- Previous experience as a Professional Driver in Uganda
- Valid driver’s permit
- Basic mechanical awareness and skills
- Experience maintaining log-books
- Problem Solving
- Community Mobilization
- Translations Skills Preferred
