PEDN is a Ugandan Non-profit organization incorporated in the year 2004 to promote and integrate entrepreneurial programs, active teaching and learning in the formal and informal Education system in Uganda. It works through a multi-sectoral approach, public private partnership (PPP) frameworks to provide holistic programming, coordination and implementation of programs and activities
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The jobholder will be visiting schools to assess implementation progress of project activities
- Carrying out spot checks in schools
- Pre-testing of data collection tools
- Tasked with data collection (both quantitative and qualitative)
- Data coding, cleaning, validation and entry
- Responsible for data analysis
- Write and submit reports
- The applicant must hold a BA Development Studies, Statistics, Social Sciences or any other related degree from a recognized university or institution of higher learning.
- Possession of a post graduate training in Monitoring and Evaluation will be an added advantage
- Previous experience in working with young people, parents, teachers and government structures.
- Ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative research
- Fluent in local languages spoken in the three districts (Jinja, Mukono and Wakiso) plus English
- Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
- Good mobilisation and negotiations skills, especially with rural people
- Computer literacy skills i.e. knowledge (Ms Access, Ms Word, Ms. Excel and PowerPoint)
- Excellent analytical skills
