75623 - National Consultancy for the mapping of ongoing initiatives on Climate Smart Agriculture in Uganda, with a focus on women’s participation and the Development of the Project Document
UN Women, grounded in the vision of equality enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations, works for the elimination of discrimination against women and girls; the empowerment of women; and the achievement of equality between women and men as partners and beneficiaries of development, human rights, humanitarian action and peace and security. UN Women’s office in Uganda works to advance implementation of the agency’s normative, operational and co-ordination mandate, in close partnership with the Government of Uganda, the United Nations Country Team and civil society organizations.
UN Women Country Office in Uganda would like to develop a flagship on Climate Smart Agriculture because climate projections show that agriculture systems will most likely be negatively affected by the change in climate thus, threatening production systems and food security respectively. lt is against this background that UN Women invites applications from potential National Consultants to support the development of the Climate Smart Agriculture flagship with specific focus on women and develop a Project Document.
