Post: Environment, Health and Safety Manager
G4S Uganda is seeking to recruit experienced personnel to fill the position of Health and Safety Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a Ugandan citizen or permanent resident
- Must have a bachelors degree from a recognized University
- Certificate training in Environment, Health & Safety
- At least 4 years experience in a similar role in a large organisation
- Registration with professional / regulatory organisation as an expert or advisor
- Knowledge of local, international and security sector legislation
- implement EHS strategy
- Develop implement and review H&S policy and procedures
- Manage and audit H&S regulatory / corporate compliance and report / investigate incident / accident and near misses
- Provide expert advice on EHS matters to Management
- A disciplined and responsible person of integrity
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Team player
- Customer and result oriented
- Objective, decisive and pay attention to detail
- Monitoring and evaluation of EHS implementation plans
- investigate complaints relating to employees’ health & safety
- inspect / audit the workplace, health & safety tools and equipment
- Develop health & safety programmes / systems to ensure compliance by all employees
- identify safety training needs, organise and coordinate EH5 trainings
