Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Tasked with facilitating various HR forums geared towards enhancing employee relations
  •  Facilitating recruitment by assisting in the shortlisting process, participating in interviews, ensuring onboarding formalities are observed and maintaining recruitment records, document verification and background checks
  • Compiling payroll data
  • In charge of preparing and maintaining employee files in both hard and soft copy
  • Drafting employee letters including contracts and separation letters
  • Assisting with employee separation formalities
  • Maintaining HRIS and ensuring HR operational processes run smoothly including benefits enrollment and termination
  • Assisting in disciplinary issues including record keeping of the same
  • Assisting in driving employee welfare programs
  • Facilitating team building activities and assisting in the rewards and recognition program
  • Preparing and submitting reports as and when required
  •  Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least a Higher Diploma in Human Resource Managemen
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in a HR generalist position
  • Computer literacy i.e. working knowledge of MS Office applications
  •  Good knowledge of Ugandan labour laws.
  •  Hands on experience using HRIS
  •  Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  •  Have good report writing and analytical skills
  •  Demonstrate Keen attention to detail
  • Have the ability to work with a sense of urgency and prioritize own work
  •  Have good time-management skills
  •  Have the ability to /interest in communicating effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and culture
  •  Be a good team player.
  •  Fluent in written and verbal English
