AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.
AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.
AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:
Job Title : Procurement Assistants
Location: Kampala and Field settlements
Responsible For: working in the Procurement Department to support procurement activities.
Job Summary: Assist to ensure that the procurement chart is followed and adhered to in all procurement processes with close coordination with the Procurement Officer.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply chain Management, Logistics or in Business Administration (Majoring in procurement).
- Knowledge of key purchasing processes and purchasing domain.
- CIPS is an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years working experience in a similar position.(NG work: experience will be an added advantage)
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. .
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in any part of the Country
