AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.
AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.
AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:
Job Title : Procurement Officers
Location: Kampala and Field settlements
Responsible For: Keeping the Procurement Manager informed on all purchases, which he should give guidance to and approve where necessary.
Job Summary: General supervision of all procurement activities in the field location with reference to the Procurement Manager; all department heads and key staffs, ensure that the supply chain activities are according to the A RD Procurement guidelines

Job Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or in ~ g Business Administration (Majoring in procurement).
- Knowledge of key purchasing processes and purchasing domaln.
- CIPS is an added advantage
- Minimum 4 years working experience in a similar position.(NG work , . experience-will be an added advantage) ,
- Experience in the use of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etct.) and knowledge of spread sheet an database packages
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of honesty and integrity .
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Advanced computer skills in Ms Word, Excel, PowerPoint presentation, Creating forms, org charts, mail merges, labels, name tags, charts and graphs, pivot tables, presentations wit
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in any part of the country
