AIRD Uganda is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making international NGO. AIRD is currently working in 9 African countries in East, Central and West Africa.
AIRD’s objectives is to offer operational support, including but not limited to; supply chain, logistics, construction, infrastructure, environment, livelihoods and WAH in partnership with relief and development organisations which focus on disaster-affected and development oriented areas.
AIRD is seeking for qualified personnel (internal and external) to fill the position to be implemented in 2018:
Job Title: Senior Finance Officers
Location: Kampala
Responsible For: Under the direction of the Finance and Admin. Manager, he/she is responsible for Coordinating activities of financial management of the project office.
Job Summary: implementation of AIRD Uganda Programme Financial policies and procedures work with Department Heads/sub office managers to undertake financial activities and prepare periodic financial reports of the respective areas. Assist the Finance and Administrative Manager in reviewing and updating the policies and procedures based on the needs generated from the field offices or donor requirements.
Job Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Accounting or Finance
- A recognized professional designation in Accounting or internal Auditing gACCA,CPA) is an added advantage
- years’ experience in similar positron for masters and 7 years experience tor degree holders
- Comprehensive and current knowledge of legislation applicable to INGO’s
- Good understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Advanced computer skills in Accounting software with specialty] in quick books and MS Excel and office MS packages
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of honesty and Integrity
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work in any part of the country
