We are looking for position to join our team.
Post: 2 Junior Coffee Agronomists (Masaka and Luwero)
Main duties and responsibilities
- Identify and on-board farmers;
- implement farmer support programme, including agronomy trainings, farm visits, management of demo plots and input Supply;
- Identify potential risks and develop action plans;
- Coordinate coffee mobilization;
- Collect data for Kyagalanyi M&E system;
- Maintain effective working relationships with KCL staff, local partners and stakeholders;
- Assist with data entry, data analysis and report writing.
- Degree (preferably BSc) in Agriculture or related field;
- At least 2 years’ experience in related field of work (coffee, farmer support, certification);
- Practical knowledge and experience with coffee production is highly desirable;
- Proven experience with running farmer trainings;
- Experience in collecting, analysing and reporting data (M&E) in Excel and Word;
- Willingness and ability to work extensively in rural areas with farmers;
- Experience in riding a motorbike (license is a must);
- English and Luganda;
- Personality traits: proven ability to lead by example, energetic, enthusiastic, self-drive;
